Plagiarism v. Ghost Writing

You may have heard about this US senator who apparently plagiarised some material in his master's thesis:

Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work.

However, it also is apparently true that all of the books "authored" by Hillary Rodham (a.k.a. Clinton to some of you) were ghost written by others who also received no attribution for their work:

Ms. Rodham may not have "wrongfully appropriated" or "stolen" their work (she paid them something), but she apparently did represent the books as being her own work.

Why are we criticizing the senator but giving Ms. Rodham a free pass ... time after time after time?

Perhaps she also should claim PTSD as an excuse since she fell down and hit her head. But I don't think she will do that because it would admit details about her health she does not want us to know.

A phony is a phony is a phony, no matter what you call them. We've got a wretched phony in the White House now. Do you really want another when he's gone?
