Whether or not Trump once was a good idea, he utterly failed ... while president, and in his support for candidates in the 2022 election.
Whether it was earned or not, he cannot escape his own toxicity.
For the benefit of all, he needs to swallow his ego and just go away quietly. At this point, anything else would do more harm than good.
