Boehner is typical of today's US politicians - they mostly hate the USA and seem to have no idea what We the People want.
Can you name a single "land of immigration" which is currently successful as a nation? All the agglomeration states/empires (British Empire, Ottoman Empire, USSR, Yugoslavia, etc.) have broken up, and the USA is rapidly failing. People want to have sovereign control over their own affairs, and I doubt ANYONE wants to get caught up in a sociocidal melting pot like the USA used to be. Yes, we're a nation of immigrants, but in many ways we're no longer capable of sustaining either a national identity or the will to live and work together. Clowns like Boehner ain't going to help, either.
