Department of Justice officials filed a motion in federal court late Wednesday seeking a 27-month delay in producing correspondence between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s four top aides and officials with the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings, a closely allied public relations firm that Bill Clinton helped launch.
If the court permits the delay, the public won’t be able to read the communications until October 2018, about 22 months into her prospective first term as President. The four senior Clinton aides involved were Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Fuchs, Ambassador-At-Large Melanne Verveer, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin.

Judge Andrew Napolitano told FOX News that an FBI transcript indicated that no one died until 05:13am Sunday morning when the police SWAT teams entered the building.

The 53 that were injured, and the 49 that were murdered all met their fates at the time of, and during, the police entry into the building,” Judge Napolitano said.

Suarez, who works with the group Mexico Better Off Without the TPP, says that NAFTA should act as a warning of the impacts of these kinds of trade deals.
“Before NAFTA, Mexico was a developing country. But now it’s an underdeveloping country, with 70 percent of people in rural areas and 85 percent of the Indigenous population living in poverty,” said Suarez.
But it’s not just NAFTA that’s at fault, Peña Nieto’s neoliberal ideology, which is shared by Trudeau and Obama, has also made an impact.

Antonia Garcia Martinez, a former Facebook advertising manager who was fired two years ago, claims that working at the social network was like being in a cult akin to North Korea with Zuckerberg its unquestioned leader.
Female employees were told not to wear clothing that might be ‘distracting’ to male workers.
Human resource managers gave a speech during initiation for new employees in which they told women that there was a dress code which they had to stick to.
They also pulled women aside and ‘read them the riot act’ if their skirts were too short.

California may have lots of groundwater, but is it threatened by oil and gas drilling and fracking?
A study released this week by Stanford scientists shows that there is nearly three times more groundwater in California’s Central Valley than earlier surveys had indicated.
“It’s not often that you find a ‘water windfall,’ but we just did,” study co-author Robert Jackson, the Michelle and Kevin Douglas Provostial Professor at Stanford, said in the study’s release. “There’s far more fresh water and usable water than we expected.”
Jackson and his research partner looked at deep groundwater aquifers, between 1,000 and 3,000 feet below the surface. This water was not previously thought of as usable water, but as technology has improved, so has our ability to tap underground reservoirs.
The Central Valley, the bread-and-vegetable basket of the nation, produces a quarter of the United States’ food. Agriculture, which uses 80 percent of the state’s water resources, has been hit hard by the ongoing drought. Less rainfall means farmers need to use more ground and surface water.
But the Central Valley doesn’t only produce food. There are also thousands of oil and gas wells in the region, which stretches from just north of Los Angeles up past Sacramento. And this is where things get tricky.
Nearly one out of every three oil or gas wells in California is drilled directly into a usable freshwater source, the study showed. In fact, oil and gas drilling is happening in 30 percent of the aquifers with deep groundwater resources.
“We don’t know what effect oil and gas activity has had on groundwater resources, and one reason to highlight this intersection is to consider if we need additional safeguards on this water,” said Jackson.

In a former life I reviewed air pollution permits for oil and gas facilities. You would be AMAZED at how many holes have been drilled into the ground and how many of them go right through our drinking water aquifers.
Every well casing is a potential leak site which will exist FOREVER, and even if 99.99% of them never leak (an unrealistically high percentage) they all gravely threaten our most precious resource - water.

The Central Valley, the bread-and-vegetable basket of the nation, produces a quarter of the United States’ food. Agriculture, which uses 80 percent of the state’s water resources, has been hit hard by the ongoing drought. Less rainfall means farmers need to use more ground and surface water.
But the Central Valley doesn’t only produce food. There are also thousands of oil and gas wells in the region, which stretches from just north of Los Angeles up past Sacramento. And this is where things get tricky.
Nearly one out of every three oil or gas wells in California is drilled directly into a usable freshwater source, the study showed. In fact, oil and gas drilling is happening in 30 percent of the aquifers with deep groundwater resources.
“We don’t know what effect oil and gas activity has had on groundwater resources, and one reason to highlight this intersection is to consider if we need additional safeguards on this water,” said Jackson.

In a former life I reviewed air pollution permits for oil and gas facilities. You would be AMAZED at how many holes have been drilled into the ground and how many of them go right through our drinking water aquifers.
Every well casing is a potential leak site which will exist FOREVER, and even if 99.99% of them never leak (an unrealistically high percentage) they all gravely threaten our most precious resource - water.
So enjoy your cheap gas while you can. Eventually the price you pay for uncontaminated water will more than compensate for the free ride you're getting now.

The innovation is a precursor to another electric highway planned to open for testing in California in 2017.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the federal government would continue pressing its authority over hydraulic fracturing in the courts.
From Wyoming, U.S. District Judge Scott Skavdahl found the federal Interior Department's Bureau of Land Management was not granted authority by Congress to regulate hydraulic fracturing on public lands. In his ruling, the judge said the decision was not based on environmental grounds.
"The constitutional role of this court is to interpret the applicable statutory enactments and determine whether Congress has delegated to the Department of Interior legal authority to regulate hydraulic fracturing," the ruling stated. "It has not."

The foreign ministers of France and Germany are due to reveal a blueprint to effectively do away with individual member states in what is being described as an “ultimatum”.
Under the radical proposals EU countries will lose the right to have their own army, criminal law, taxation system or central bank, with all those powers being transferred to Brussels.
Controversially member states would also lose what few controls they have left over their own borders, including the procedure for admitting and relocating refugees.

Here's what can happen to countries that sign "free trade" deals:
TransCanada Corp. is seeking to recoup $15 billion for the Obama administration’s rejection of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, in a legal claim that highlights how foreign companies can use trade deals to challenge U.S. policy.
The Calgary-based pipeline operator filed papers late Friday seeking arbitration under the North American Free Trade Agreement, arguing that TransCanada had every reason to believe it would win approval to build Keystone XL. Instead, President Barack Obama last November determined that the pipeline, which would have carried Canadian oil sands crude to the U.S. Gulf coast, wasn’t in the national interest. In response, TransCanada in January vowed to use arbitration provisions in Chapter 11 of Nafta to recover costs and damages.
The company said the U.S. spent seven years delaying a final decision on the project with multiple rounds of “arbitrary and contrived” analyses and justifications.

The TPP turns the US treasury into an ATM for every foreign investor who wishes to challenge and get compensation for any health, safety and environmental rule deemed obstructive by the foreign trade tribunal. It can even sue the US for creating a trade barrier through maintaining public employment.

Waiting For The Rapture In Texas
The Texas Supreme Court sided Friday with a family accused of not teaching its children anything while waiting to be "raptured," but failed to answer larger constitutional questions about whether home-schooled students must be properly educated.
The 6-3 decision by the all-Republican court on technical grounds means nothing was decided regarding a showdown between religious liberties and educational requirements in America's largest conservative state, though it will live on in lower Texas courts.
Texas doesn't require parents who home-school their children to register with state authorities. While families must meet "basic educational goals" in reading, spelling, grammar, mathematics and citizenship, they don't have to give standardized testing or otherwise prove student progress is made.
Problems for Laura and Michael McIntyre, who once educated their nine children in an empty office at the family's motorcycle dealership in El Paso, arose after an uncle told the school district that he never saw the children do much of anything educational. According to court filings, he also overheard of the children tell a cousin "they did not need to do schoolwork because they were going to be raptured," or blessed by the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The family's eldest daughter, 17-year-old Tori, ran away from home in 2006 so she could return to school. The El Paso district put her in the ninth grade because officials weren't sure she could handle higher grade-level work — a claim her parents' dispute.
Attempting to investigate accusations of non-learning, school district attendance officer Michael Mendoza sought proof the children were being properly educated. That prompted the McIntyres to sue, arguing that their equal protection rights under the 14th Amendment had been violated and that the school district was anti-Christian.
The family said it used a religious curriculum similar to one offered in El Paso's Christian schools, and noted the uncle invented claims of waiting for the rapture because he was embroiled in a dispute over ownership of the since-defunct motorcycle dealership.

I have faith in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, so I have a soft spot for these parents.
On the other hand, what can these children learn that is of value which they could not pick up by surfing the Internet and watching TV? Unless they want to go to medical, dental, law, or some other professional school, spending twelve years in public school is more or less a waste of their time and the public's money.

Healthcare is the only industry exempt from the rigors of the U.S. free market system. Ask the price of any healthcare service and you will always receive the same answer: "What insurance do you have?" Billing is determined by how much can be extracted from each patient on a case by case basis. It is a predatory system that is built on destruction of free market economics through political influence.
Value and market price are entirely irrelevant concepts. Patients who are out of network or uninsured are routinely charged 10X more than "normal" rates. This is fraud in any business -- except healthcare.

The currently fashionable concept of price transparency will not ameliorate the health cost crisis. A simple blood test for cholesterol can range from $10 to $400 or more at the same lab. Transparency would merely show that each healthcare provider charges extraordinarily wide-ranging different prices for each service it provides and continue to sow price confusion.
Laws requiring health providers to publish price ranges or average prices are growing in popularity. Such so called "price transparency" serves as a public relations gimmick to relieve ever mounting public pressure on elected representatives. Simply put, each of us is entitled to know the actual price we will be charged for our healthcare. Under the Obama administration’s expansive interpretation of executive authority, legal immigrants seeking citizenship through the nation’s Naturalization process are now exempt from a key part of the Oath of Allegiance.
Immigrants seeking to become citizens no longer have to pledge to “bear arms on behalf of the United States.” They can opt out of that part of the Oath. Nor do they have to cite any specific religious belief that forbids them to perform military service.

According to ESPN, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the president has “discussed” being part of an ownership group for an NBA franchise. Earnest added that Obama “would pursue the opportunity "potentially ... under the right circumstances."

Texas - the 26 state lawsuit challenging DAPA and the expansion of DACA. The tied ruling keeps in place the 5th Circuits injunction blocking these programs until the courts can decide the merits of the case.
In response, President Obama just concluded a bitter press conference where he chided the outcome (a popular tactic of this president when the high court rules against him) and blamed Republicans for not passing the disastrous Gang of Eight mass amnesty bill from the 113th Congress. During a brief Q&A with the press at the conclusion of his remarks, one reporter asked the President if the outcome means he will deport the illegal aliens who cannot benefit from his executive amnesty program. Leaving little doubt that Obama refuses to enforce our immigration laws, the President blatantly said no because they do not meet his arbitrary enforcement “priorities” that exempt nearly all illegal aliens from fear of removal. It’s no mystery why the Department of Homeland Security has the lowest morale of all federal agencies when these people can’t do their job because the President has decided to disregard his duty to faithfully uphold our laws.

Documents obtained by The Associated Press as part of a lawsuit involving the Obama administration showed at least 75 meetings with longtime backers of her political efforts, the Clinton Foundation or other interests that were either not included on her official calendar or whose names were not disclosed.
There were at least 114 nongovernmental officials who attended those meetings and meals with Clinton, the AP found.

Although poverty really is a problem in the US, this IMF announcement is a sick joke.
The intentional policies of the US and its deep state have led to this situation. "Raising the minimum wage and offering paid maternity leave" will merely hasten the demise of most US small businesses without doing anything to alleviate US poverty.
It appears this latest IMF announcement is a lame attempt to promote the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. Aren't these her ideas?
