Veterans Today continues to publish material aimed at 9/11 truthers which allegedly supports the theory that WTC1 and WTC2 were destroyed by nuclear devices of some kind.
The following paragraph is supposed to persuade you that "zero fallout" nuclear devices are feasible:
Due to the newer inside out boosted gas compression systems coming on line in the 1970’s, a much environmentally cleaner (or greener) burning weapon came into being with fallout issues becoming almost nil. These newer 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation hollow core boasted weapons designs produce very little fallout, if any at all, due to the fusion process consuming almost all of the fissile material during detonation.

Even if all of the fissile material is "consumed" (either by fission or fusion), most of its mass remains in the form of fission products and other radioactive isotopes. Had such devices been used on 9/11, the debris from the WTC disintegration events would have emitted substantial alpha, beta, and/or gamma radiation.
But this was not the case. Here is what actual measurements of WTC debris revealed:
We found only background levels of alpha radionuclide activity by liquid scintillation counter analysis of all three samples. Beta activity was slightly elevated, but not more than twice the background level. There were no levels of gamma activity > 1 Bq/g except for naturally occurring potassium-40.

They can package this theory any way they wish, but the bottom line is that fission and/or fusion devices leave measurable radioactive traces ... from fallout, fission products, and/or irradiated metals. Failure to detect ANY radiation (other than slightly elevated beta) strongly suggests that no nuclear devices of any kind were used at the WTC on 9/11.
Do you really believe that several nations are now routinely using nuclear bombs, but that no one (other than Veterans Today) seems to know about it?
Update - Here is a calculation which further demonstrates that Veterans Today appears to be wrong.
If what they mean by "consuming" the fissile material is that it is all converted to energy, then here is the energy from one pound of anything calculated using the equation E = MCsquared =
(454 grams) x (3 x 10+10 cm/s) x (3 x 10+10 cm/s) x (1 x 10-7 Joules per erg) = approximately 4 X 10+16 Joules
Since 1 megaton is roughly 4 X 10+15 Joules, one pound of matter completely converted to energy is equivalent to 10 megatons.
Two bombs of that size (one per WTC tower) would have obliterated all of lower Manhatten and much of the surrounding area.
So ... are you still willing to believe Veterans Today?
