Imagine - The Status Of Getting There
- Imagine there's no heaven
- It's easy if you try
- No hell below us
- Above us only sky
The clamor over "religious freedom restoration" laws shows that non-believers have won the debate. So-called believers no longer have the courage to stand up for their beliefs. Once the current generation passes, no one will believe in heaven, and the only hell will be the one we have made for ourselves right here on the Earth.
- Imagine all the people
- Living for today
Most of us are living paycheck to paycheck, so I'd say we're already there.
- Imagine there's no countries
- It isn't hard to do
- Nothing to kill or die for
- And no religion too
Obama ad-Dajjal, his minions, and their ilk are doing their damnedest to destroy the nation-states of the world and to replace them with market states. They also are fighting mightily to destroy both Christianity and Islam. Soon there literally will be no countries or religions to die for, but don't expect that to stop the police from killing black teenagers for no reason whatsoever.
- Imagine all the people
- Living life in peace
Most of the people DO live in peace. It's bankgangsters, corporations, and their collaborators in the one percent who regularly disturb our peace.
- You may say I'm a dreamer
- But I'm not the only one
- I hope someday you'll join us
- And the world will be as one
Everywhere you look, people want to be different. They yearn for the freedom to live the way they see fit, without some white European do-gooders telling them what they can and cannot think and do. I can't see us EVER being as one.
- Imagine no possessions
- I wonder if you can
- No need for greed or hunger
- A brotherhood of man
The masses already have very few possessions, and even what they have is being taken away from them. Greed has the upper hand, and hunger seems to persist no matter what we do. There are two brotherhoods, one for the rich and one for the masses. As long as the former continues to exist, the latter will continue to suffer.
- Imagine all the people
- Sharing all the world
We already share the world. We all breathe the same polluted air, drink the same poisoned water, and eat the same GMO frankenfood. But as long as the rich have the power to do so, they will keep the rest of the world (i.e., the best parts) for themselves.
- You may say I'm a dreamer
- But I'm not the only one
- I hope someday you'll join us
- And the world will live as one
The dreamers seem to be leading us inexorably toward a world dominated by artificial intelligence and machines which will replace us in all things. You can join them if you want to (and if they let you), but who really wants to be a robot? I enjoy my existence as a human being, in spite of all my flaws.

Don't forget that this nonsense was authored by John Lennon, the supporter of IRA terrorism and the one time husband of the recently deceased Cynthia who he treated very badly.
ReplyDeleteJohn was quite the satyr, wasn't he?
ReplyDeletePerhaps. In the course of my employment I met him twice. He showed no ithyphallic qualities but he did fall for the singer Alma Cogan whom he saw as the resurrection of his mother. He eventually moved on to Yoko Ono.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the insight.
