Who Is Gonna Fight Russia For Us ???

Here is a report from August 2014 about Russian military strength:

Over the past several weeks, Russia has built up 17 battalions — totaling 19,000 to 21,000 troops, according to one Western estimate — into a battle-ready force of infantry, armor, artillery and air defense within a few miles of the border. In addition, it has vastly expanded its firepower, increasing the number of advanced surface-to-air missile units to 14 from eight, and deploying more than 30 artillery batteries, according to the officials.

If you recall, General Odierno predicted that the US would have 7 combat-ready brigades by then. That's about 32,000 troops, and that's for the entire US Army (not just the part in Europe):

So if we start a war with Russia, it will have to be fought by Ukrainian troops (who couldn't even defeat the irregulars in Dobass) or by NATO troops (from countries who will suffer the most when the war starts).

Wouldn't it have been easier and cheaper to make friends with Russia and the rest of the BRICS instead of making the whole world our enemy?
