The failure to use reasonable care to avoid consequences that threaten or harm the safety of the public and that are the foreseeable outcome of acting in a particular manner.

Obama ad-Dajjal's failure to institute reasonable measures to protect the American people against Ebola virus disease appears to satisfy the definition of "criminal negligence".

One can only hope he is the last Ebola casualty on US soil. Unfortunately, when the best plan the "smartest and brightest" in the room can come up with is to take the temperature of West Africa travelers, he won't be.
