This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing Government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it.
–Abraham Lincoln (First Inaugural Address)
Lincoln's argument was that no State could leave the Union of its own volition. However, if all of the states agreed to a breakup, he seemed to imply that would be okay.
Likewise, his statement repeated above about the power of the people also implies that we have the power to do what we want: it's OUR government. Not Obama ad-Dajjal's, not Hillary's, not Nancy Pelosi's. OUR government.
Get off our backs, you bastards. And stop taking those expensive vacations. We're broke, and we are sick of you squandering our money on you and your family while we're starving in the dark.
