- nuclear weapons in World War II (atomic bombs)
- biological weapons in the Korean War (anthrax bombs)
- chemical weapons in the Vietnam War (Agent Orange and other herbicides)
- radiological weapons in both Iraq Wars (depleted uranium munitions)
Does this make us great, or does this make us evil? Before answering this question, please read these two articles about our fierce assault on the mostly civilian population of Fallujah in Iraq in 2004:
http://www.monbiot.com/2005/11/15/war-without-rules/

It was said of Rome, "they make a desert and call it peace". Military operations that have such a huge, lasting impact on civilian populations are war crimes, not acts of pacification or liberation.
