Freedom of assembly

This is how America deals with dissent: by using overwhelming police / military force:

US Constitution, First Amendment (Bill of Rights):

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Whoops! I guess they forgot that “freedom of assembly” part.

For those of you who would argue that the demonstrators were not peaceful, in the overwhelming majority of cases they were unarmed and were peaceful until attacked by the police.

This is how a police state looks at the beginning. Stick around, there'll be plenty of brutality when the shit really hits the fan. Then what ya gonna do? Talk about it? Wring your hands? I thought so.
