Schools in the US are encouraging several forms of fantasy and make-believe behavior among their students:
And the media decline to host discussion of how extreme forms of make-believe can have very negative consequences:
I am relieved to no longer be a prisoner of the US school system. But I feel sorry for its current generation of victims.
The entire episode reminds me of what happened to Native American children who attended the schools the US set up to turn them into "white" children. Many were scarred for life, while others ended up in the schools' cemeteries:
