Is It Time For Civil Disobedience ???

This essay by J. Matt Barber suggests that Christians should disobey laws which violate their religious beliefs:

If we were to actually follow the US Constitution, there would be no such laws:

Article VI

3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

To the words of these two clauses should be added an obvious implication - the President and his minions and the Supreme Court should not violate these requirements, either.

What the US is doing could be described as entering an era of LAWLESSNESS, as foreseen by the following scripture:

The Great Apostasy

1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
2 Thessalonians 2 NKJV

And by "era of lawlessness" is meant the abandonment of G-d's laws, replacing them with the laws of the mob; the same mob which worshiped the golden calf while Moses was on the mountain receiving the Ten Commandments.

When are acts of civil disobedience justified? You'll have to decide that for yourself, using Christ's words as guidance:

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Matthew 10:22 KJV

[Hint: I'll bet Joel Osteen won't tell you to rebel against the government, nor will any of the many other false churches which are collaborating with Satan.]

Update: Pat Buchanan has written a good essay about civil disobedience:

A secession of the heart has already taken place in America, and a secession, not of states, but of people from one another, caused by divisions on social, moral, cultural and political views and values, is taking place.

America is disuniting, Arthur Schlesinger Jr. wrote 25 years ago.

And for those who, when young, rejected the views, values and laws of Eisenhower’s America, what makes them think that dissenting Americans in this post-Christian and anti-Christian era will accept their laws, beliefs, values?

Why should they?

"Post-Christian and anti-Christian era"? I would argue the US is becoming anti-G-d and pro-Satan. If you want to know more about what that means, read the Book of Revelation; it aptly describes what we are turning into.
