The Congressional Black Caucus is likely to boycott Israeli PM NetanYahoo's speech to Congress:
“To me, it is somewhat of an insult to the president of the United States,” said Rep. Greg Meeks (D-N.Y.), leaving the White House on Tuesday after a long meeting with Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, who’s skipping the speech himself. “Barack Obama is my president, he’s the nation’s president, and it is clear therefore that I’m not going to be there, as a result of that, not as a result of the good people of Israel.”

NetanYahoo is no dummy, so it is probable that he intended to drive a wedge between the President and his supporters and the rest of Congress.
Q: Who has caused more actual damage to the US and poses a greater threat to the US: Iran or Israel?
A: I'll leave it up to you, but consider in your answer the fact that Iran did not kill any of the hostages taken from our embassy in Tehran (you can't count the 8 servicemen who died in the failed rescue attempt); while Israel has killed more than 40 US citizens. In addition, the Israelis knew about but failed to warn us of an impending attack on our military barracks in Lebanon in 1983 which killed 241 of our servicemen.
Israel is not our friend, unless you define "friend" as someone who constantly spits in your face, kills your countrymen and steals technology and money from you with impunity, and continually does nasty things which reflect badly on you.
By the way, try searching on Google to find how many US citizens have been killed by Israel. It's not easy, and I'll bet the difficulty is intentional. One site which has a partial answer is booby trapped with malware. I wonder who did that?
