Extremist is defined as "a person who holds extreme or fanatical political or religious views, especially one who resorts to or advocates extreme action".

Is "Joe the Plumber" an extremist for supporting the US Constitution?

Yes, Joe may be "out of touch", but each and every executive officer, legislator, and judge in this country is sworn to protect our right to keep and bear arms. If you want to change the Constitution, then follow it's approved procedure for doing so:

US Constitution, Article V
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

All you extremists who don't like the Constitution and don't want to follow it, I'm sorry for your loss ... but you ain't got my support and never will.

And by the way, I'm still not convinced that the so-called Sandy Hook "massacre" wasn't a hoax. First, the good people of Connecticut need to answer a few simple questions, and then maybe we'll talk about that Constitutional amendment:
