CETA Cannot Be Changed

The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free trade agreement between Canada and the European Union. It was signed by Canadian and EU leaders in Ottawa on September 26, 2014 after ten years of discussions and negotiations.

Now it has been revealed that key portions of the CETA agreement CANNOT be changed. The legal form of the agreement signals the end of involvement of national parliaments in trade matters. "Investor protection" measures will now trump "consumer protection" concerns.

Something similar will happen when TPP and TTIP are fast-tracked through the US Congress. The balance of power will shift from real people to the living dead (corporations).

Welcome to the market state. Say goodbye to the nation state.
