Free Electricity ???

But how much hydrogen is present in our atmosphere? Only 0.00005% of its total mass, so I would not expect a heck of a lot of power from this particular source.

Nikola Tesla also wanted to pull electric energy from thin air, but by using physical means instead of chemical. Since his method essentially would have tapped into the Earth's electric field, I think it might have been more successful.
