According to this report, US subs soon may carry hypersonic weapons:

By the way, supposedly these new US weapons will be used "against fleeting targets, such as terrorist meetings, or an enemy headquarters". That's about the dumbest thing I ever heard, and a very questionable use for a multi-billion dollar weapons platform.
If this is the way our subs are now employed, I'm very happy I no longer serve on them.
