Petroleum Wars In Canada

Native Americans are resisting Canada's confiscation of their lands for a gas pipeline:

Not mentioned is the FACT this pipeline will serve the energy needs of China.

An alternative to its construction would be to lift the punitive, nonsensical sanctions against Iran, which then could provide unlimited gas to China and make the Canadian pipeline unnecessary.

Another would be to wait for the final COVID-19 impact on the Chinese economy. Maybe they won't need this gas after all.

  1. Here is further discussion of the issue:

I strongly object to the idea "pipelines produce peace and prosperity". They also are conduits for the transfer of wealth, and such transfers usually are unjust, producing war for some and poverty for others.
