There is a lot we don't know about the life on our planet, but we have been charging full speed ahead down a path which seems likely to kill off even more of it.

Globally, roughly one person in 1,000 is a "scientist", and even fewer are "climate scientists". I have no problem with them providing facts upon which we can base our decisions about what to do.

But I have a BIG problem with them making all the decisions ... and with "our" governments and tech companies stifling debate about what is happening and what we should do about it.

Those who are about to starve and those who are about to die should have at least as much say as the scientific-technological elite.

Perhaps more.

Making Nuclear War Easier

On this day in 1945, the US used the first nuclear bomb on Hiroshima, Japan.

In a former life, I was a nuclear submarine officer and member of a team responsible for the release of nuclear weapons. Sadly, I didn't give a lot of thought to what I was doing back then.

Today, I feel like the US is going out of its way to make it easier and more likely to use nuclear weapons. This is a development we all should oppose. No good can come of it, and a whole lot of bad.

If there ever were a time for turning swords into plowshares, this is it.

The Only Climate Reality

When I worked for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, their position was that CO2 was NOT a pollutant. Unfortunately they seem to have lost that battle.

My observations are these:

• Earth may or may not be warming. Most seem to think it is.
• Humans may or may not be the most significant contributor to any warming. Most seem to think we are.
• The measures being proposed and undertaken may or may not make a difference. Most seem to think they will.

But none of the above have been conclusively proven. What we can count on, however, is that rich people will make LOTS more money from climate change ... and they won't give any of it back if it turns out they're wrong.

Friendshoring

Corporations might be "persons", but they're not your "friends":

Note well - They act to protect their own interests, not yours. They could relocate ops to the US, but they won't. There's no profit in doing so.

Playing With Fire

I watched the entire hearing, and some of the things the witnesses said were astonishing. And yes, the researchers are playing with fire ... and apparently with little or no oversight.

So, what are Democrats in Congress doing in response? They're blocking measures to stop gain-of-function research:

This only makes sense to me if these people are criminally ignorant or have a death wish. In either case, they shouldn't even be in Congress.

And not to be content with manipulating existing organisms, other scientists are actually creating life in their labs:

As the Chinese warned "Joe Biden", when you play with fire you can get burned. I feel another pandemic coming on, and this time it may be an existential threat.

But come to think of it, isn't that what Gates, Fauci, and the Davos/WEF beast wanted all along so they could jam their dystopian agenda down our throats?

US Constitution

Article I, Section 8

The Congress shall have Power

5. To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;

6. To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;

Article I, Section 10

1. No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;

It seems to me that Congress and the States have more or less ignored these provisions, giving control of our money to central bankers who do NOT have our best interests in mind.

And now that TPTB who control the central banks have debased our currency and run up debts which cannot be paid, they intend to screw us even more by imposing digital currencies which will be out of our (We the People) control.

The Founders would not have tolerated this crap. Why then do we?
