You may recall this admission made by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his 1967 address Beyond Vietnam - A Time To Break Silence:
"I knew that I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today -- my own government. For the sake of those boys, for the sake of this government, for the sake of the hundreds of thousands trembling under our violence, I cannot be silent."
Not only has nothing changed for the better since then, now we actually have a "Department of War" whose civilian leader literally wants to make the Pentagon a global arms bazaar:

If the United States ever was a force for good in the world, we're not any more. And "our" Congress appears to be on board for just about anything the President wants to do.
