I keep seeing essays like this one:
Well, what does the US Constitution really say?
Article I, Section 4
1. The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
Seems clear to me. The only confusion is WHY ARE WE NOT FOLLOWING THIS?
Almost EVERY federal move regarding elections has had the result of usurping the power of the Several States and consolidating control of the electoral process in a few hands.
We're witnessing the wholesale dismantling of our constitution, and frankly nothing of value is being offered as a substitute for it. This familiar phrase is about all that's left:
All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
