Stigmatizing The Homeless In France

France has issued special ID cards to the homeless, cards which are reminiscent of the yellow Stars of David the Jews once were forced to wear:

Considering how the US also has been stigmatizing the homeless and criminalizing the activities of people trying to help them, can we be that far behind?
