Living In Space ???

Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com wants to see "millions of people living and working in space":

Well, Jeff, let me point out a few pertinent facts:

• There's no air to breathe in space,
• There's no water to drink in space,
• There's no food to eat in space, and
• There's no affordable way to get there.

Might I suggest that we solve our problems on Earth instead of fantasizing that we can escape to somewhere off the planet?

Historically, "pioneers" also were people who escaped some issue or problem instead of fixing it, who stole land and resources from the residents they displaced, and who murdered indigenous peoples to achieve their goals.

That's not who we should be anymore. We need to discover how to get along with what we have. And if that means no more billionaires, then so be it.
