Do Cops Suffer From Excited Delirium ???

I'm sure by now you have seen a variation of this video of NYPD killing Eric Gardner:

In many cases like this, the police have maintained that the victims were suffering from "excited delirium" and that is what led to their deaths:

If you ask me, this video seems to show that Mr. Gardner was suffering from an NYPD chokehold, and it was the police who were suffering from "excited delirium".

From one perspective, this is also why Michael Brown was killed: a policeman "feared for his life" and apparently began suffering from "a combination of delirium, psychomotor agitation, anxiety, hallucinations, speech disturbances, disorientation, [and] violent and bizarre behavior" which caused him to shoot Mr. Brown.

I urge you to watch the videos of the beating of Rodney King and other online videos which depict extreme examples of persons struggling to survive while being arrested by police. Then ask yourself, who was the party on the scene who was truly “excited and delirious” – the victims ... or the police?
