The End Of Cash

Kroger and Meijer had already announced they were no longer accepting cash, and this morning my local Walmart switched all their self service kiosks to a "no cash" basis, too.

As is the case for many such changes, it is corporations which are forcing us to accept the end of cash.

I suspect other such changes will follow, including these:
  • the demise of the US Postal Service
  • the end of ICE
  • a drastic reduction in FDA
  • mega changes in policing

To date, such changes have benefitted mainly the corporations which filled the voids left by the curtailment of government involvement.

What will a totally corporate run government be like? If you want to know, just search the Internet for the terms "fascism" and "technocracy".

Here is additional discussion why this is about far more than just eliminating cash:

Update 7/16/2020

My local biscuit shop can't make change, either. This suggests the "shortage" is coming from the banks who would normally distribute the coins. It makes sense they would be at the center of things.

In the near future, "banking" will be done totally via machines. Cutting the number of employees to the minimum certainly helps the banks' profit margin, doesn't it?

He had no idea that things had gotten so bad? Well, they're likely to get far worse unless the government takes the bull by the horns to fix this mess we're in.
