The Seals Of Revelation

So-called Bible scholars are claiming the seals of the Book of Revelation are being opened:

Before you start believing them, consider this:

(a) Before he was murdered by the USA, David Koresh (of all people!) made an astute observation - if the first seal has been opened, it means someone WORTHY to open the seal has been found. Are you aware of the presence of such a worthy individual?

(b) If the seals are being opened, don't you think the Vatican would be aware of such a thing? Wouldn't they tell us? Or do you think they'd just let us face the End Times on our own?

(c) These three claims (among others) are made in the article linked above:

"The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse representing war, famine, pestilence and death as depicted in the Bible on Revelation 6:2-8 are most likely causing this coronavirus worldwide."

"This virus is the pale horse and Horseman."

"The Four Horsemen of the Bible are currently active."

I believe the riders of the four horses represent the following Greco-Roman deities, all of whom were well known to the people of Saint John's time:

White horse - Apollo, representing pestilence

Red horse - Ares, representing war

Black horse - Hades, representing death

Pale green horse - Demeter, representing famine

If the virus does represent pestilence, it is the FIRST horse and rider - the white horse, not the pale green horse. The correct translation of "pale green" for the fourth horse is one of the keys to that realization, since it represents famine. The Greek word being translated is "chloros", which you may recognize as the root syllable for the English word "chlorophyll".

Revelation 6:8 says this about all four riders in the King James translation:

And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

What does "the fourth part of the earth" mean? It may not mean "everywhere" or "globally" as suggested by the claims above.

Yes, current events appear to reflect the Bible's prophecies, but the scope and magnitude of the deaths now being seen don't even come CLOSE to what the Bible seems to predict. That either means the seals have NOT yet been opened, or there are MANY more deaths to come.

Pray hard and don't take the mark.

By the way, the last time we talked nationally about "pestilence" was right after 9/11, when so-called anthrax letters were sent to various individuals in DC and elsewhere. Some of the powder from one of those letters contaminated the office of our current VP Mike Pence, who was then a member of the House of Representatives:

Is it mere coincidence that Pence is at the fore of both events, or is there some deeper connection? At the very least, as an apparently devout Christian Pence must be aware of both the political AND religious implications of introducing the concept of pestilence into the national consciousness.
