Looking back on what we've learned so far from COVID-19, I think these were our two worst failures:
(1) A lack of common sense and discipline. Here is an example of what we DIDN'T do, but should have:

(2) A lack of foresight into what a shutdown would do to our food supply and other supply chains:

It wouldn't have taken any "high tech" to prevent these failures. And I really don't think high tech is going to save us now. Do you?
Some are claiming Trump plans to use the military to force us to be vaccinated. I doubt he'll get the chance, but unless something changes his successor probably will do something like this:

Martial law isn't the answer either - not in this country, anyway.
Ohio barber shops opened today, so I went down to the closet one. There I encountered a huge crowd with none of the required face masks and not practicing social distancing. Our main problem is not Trump. As Pogo reminds us, "We have met the enemy and he is us".
