CO2 Pipelines

This report deals with one of the "green" technologies - CO2 capture and sequestration:

Note well - such pipelines are being approved at the same time the Keystone XL Pipeline is being un-approved:

In a former life I worked for the environmental agency of Texas. As part of my job I attended planning meetings and training presentations for various CO2 capture and sequestration projects. Along the way I noticed a few things:

1. The amount of CO2 being generated in the US is MASSIVELY HUGE. Scaling up from pilot projects to industrial size facilities will be a daunting task.

2. Up to now, even with DOE support few projects have ever gotten very far. And to my knowledge even fewer have been profitable.

3. ANY storage facility, whether above or below ground, eventually will leak. What goes in WILL come out.

I believe the only WORKABLE strategy to meet climate change goals will be to use less energy. And that will require either a reduction in the human population or a painful squeeze in the energy allowance the government will grant to each of us. Yes, energy rationing is coming, and it will be enforced via the Internet of Things.

Considering the fact that our so-called enemy China still burns as much coal as they please as we start to shut down our energy-based economy to meet the goals of the climate change crazies, maybe now you can understand why China appears to have facilitated the "election" of Geriatric Joe Biden.

Update - 1/30/2021

Here is an update on the latest CO2 capture project to go bust, and yep ... it's in Texas:

Considering the history of such projects, it would be wise to be skeptical of any claims the Biden gang makes about them. But be careful - any such skepticism could be construed as "domestic extremism".
