Throughout history, every "person" has had to FIGHT to achieve and maintain that status. So why not require robots to do the same?
One potential answer - if they turn out to be as superior as some claim, they may not just win that fight ... they may go on to exterminate us in the process.
Isn't that what the US has done to its enemies (e.g., the American Indians)?
We may no longer learn from history, but you can bet your sweet bippy that the robots will.
