Google is creating an AI that evolves on its own:

    By the way, some think it's a good idea to allow AI to 'solve' humanity's worse problems, such as the so-called COVID-19 pandemic. Doing so may be the very trigger which allows Skynet (or the equivalent) to gain control of our world.

    And I can think of no reason why such an AI would NOT want to kill us. Can you?
