There are a few "haves" and MANY "have nots" in the US. And if the "haves" working for companies like Amazon refuse to pay extra taxes, our cities will die. There is no getting around that fact.
So, while the rich techies may moan that it's not their fault, they are the only possible source of a humanitarian solution.
