Child Separation BS

The chorus of whining about child-parent separation in US migrant camps is growing. Here is a report about one of the whiners:

If separating children from their parents causes "life-changing damage", then why is US society as a whole doing this very thing? Whether it is our jobs, our schools, social media, TV, the Internet, or what have you, everything in the US is driving a wedge between parent and child.

So these crocodile tears for migrant children are total BS. We're not doing anything to them that we're not doing to our own children ... except giving them free housing and food.
