Maybe this is mere saber-rattling, but I doubt it. It's more likely "Joe Biden" has agreed to the Israeli action and that his hasty departure from Afghanistan is somehow related as part of an overall ME strategy.
The US appears eager to do whatever it takes to sabotage China's OBOR initiative, and blasting the bejesus out of the Iranians might go a long way towards achieving that goal.
Or not.
