I reject the suggestion that Donald Trump had much to do with any of this. Both armies acted this way long before Trump arrived on the scene, and both have gotten worse since he left office.
Such horrible behavior occurs chiefly because the US public tolerates it (both in the IDF and their own forces), and they tolerate it for the same reason the German people tolerated the excesses of the Nazis - they LIKE to watch their "enemies" suffer.
