ISIS Beheadings v. US Abandonment Of POWs / MIAs

According to Obama ad-Dajjal, the ISIS beheading of a US aid worker is "an act of pure evil":

But what should we make of the fact that the US government abandoned hundreds of US POWs and MIAs after the Vietnam War, for no apparent reason other than the refusal of Congress to pay reparations for the damage we caused to Vietnam?

Note that the US maintains both that no POWs / MIAs were left behind and that the document discovered by researcher Stephen Morris was either inaccurate or not authentic - claims which the US intelligence apparat easily could have disproved had they chosen to do so.

What is more "an act of pure evil" - beheading a few prisoners in a war of attrition, or leaving hundreds of your own people behind to rot and die ... in effect burying them alive?
