Although I respect Snowden and appreciate what he has done, I don't think this photo helps him. If he thinks the US government is going to forgive him, he is a fool. He says he would gladly go to Gitmo, but I don't think he has any appreciation for what goes on down there.
Update: Snowden reminds me of the short story "The Man Without A Country" by Edward E. Hale. The obituary at the end of the story is quite fitting:
He loved his country as no other man has loved her; but no man deserved less at her hands.
