America's top-ranked military officer says the surging Islamic State group has an "apocalyptic, end-of-days strategic vision" in the Middle East and cannot be defeated unless the United States and a coalition of partners confront it head-on in Syria.
"They can be contained, not in perpetuity," Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told a news conference.

I am surprised it has taken this long for someone at the top of the food chain to put what has been happening in "apocalyptic, end-of-days" terms.
My question for General Dempsey is this: Are your words mere hyperbole, or do you really think we are approaching the End of the Age?
Clearly you think ISIS must be destroyed, but what about Christians and Jews who have similar Messianic beliefs? Are you going to destroy them, too?
Here are some words of advice for you and your troops, General:

Don't get caught up in this battle. The whole world is deceived. If we go into Syria, that takes us very close to Megiddo and the Battle of Armageddon.
