Now we're seeing the same sort of thing happen with Ye:
They haven't killed him, but perhaps that's because cancellation is the new death. Instead of a quick end, they can prolong the suffering as long as they wish.
By the way, yesterday I watched Farrakhan's response to the Ye/Irving controversy. It all has the potential to be earth shattering, and I doubt it's just going to fade away. There is too much at stake for both sides.
