Here is the manifesto of a Texas elector who wants to dump Trump:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/05/opinion/why-i-will-not-cast-my-electoral-vote-for-donald-trump.html
He actually makes some good points, but they all boil down to this - Trump is a nasty, immature person.
Mr. Suprun appears to suggest he will vote for John Kasich, but let's assume other electors decide instead to vote for Hillary Clinton (which might meet Suprun's standard of "an honorable and qualified man or woman").
Wouldn't it be fair to say that she is a nasty, mature person? So what would we get from her presidency which would distinguish her from Trump?
Suprun says Trump "chooses to stoke fear and create outrage." Is that not exactly what Hillary, her Soros-funded supporters, and the MSM have done?
Suprun says Trump "lacks the foreign policy experience and demeanor needed to be commander in chief". One could make a similar claim about Harry Truman, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, none of whom had ANY foreign policy experience. Doesn't that put Trump in good company? In contrast, Hillary's foreign policy experience is an unmitigated disaster. You can read about it here:

Suprun says Trump "does not understand that the Constitution expressly forbids a president to receive payments or gifts from foreign governments." Hasn't he heard of the Clinton Foundation, which appears to have been set up for the express purpose of skirting that prohibition on a level which dwarfs anything Trump has ever done?
As a resident of Texas, I am dismayed that Mr. Suprun is one of my electors. And I am particularly offended by this statement of his:
"Fifteen years ago, I swore an oath to defend my country and Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. On Dec. 19, I will do it again."
In the first place, no version of the oath even mentions our country. The oath is to the Constitution, period. Anyone making a statement like Suprun's is ignorant of the scope of the very oath he claims to be upholding.
In the second place, to claim Trump is an "enemy" of our country and the Constitution is ridiculous. One could easily make the same claim about Obama ad-Dajjal, but that has never gained traction and apparently never will.
I don't know if Governor Abbott (or other responsible official) can have Mr. Suprun replaced as elector, but I urge him to do so ... and quickly.
And by the way, if Suprun indeed was a qualified firefighter who responded to the 9/11 attacks in NYC, he must know that the official version of what happened on that day is BULLSHIT. If he does not, he is completely ignorant of the identity of the true domestic enemies of our Constitution.
