During World War Two, the most intelligent people on the planet got together to do the dumbest thing humanity has ever done - they built nuclear weapons, which now threaten to kill us all.
And now the most intelligent people on the planet are getting together again to do an even dumber thing - they are building intelligent machines which are going to kill us all.
Do you see a pattern here? "Intelligence" isn't all it's cracked up to be. To quote Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park:
"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should."
