I lived in the Austin area for many years. The first thing to realize is that it's not really part of Texas. It's a village of weirdness which somehow got plunked down in the middle of a cow patch.
But I guess it's the perfect place for such a drill. Other than the governor's office, most people there will believe whatever left wing nonsense you care to tell them. Example - they still don't believe the green raw deal and the failure to build new fossil fueled power plants had anything to do with the big electric outage last year.
Hopefully this "drill" will not somehow morph into a real attack, as was the case during the 9/11 events. If it does, El-On Musk will have a lot to tweet about, and I doubt he'll be able to hold onto his fairness doctrine for much longer. The bots will prevail, and he will lose the high ground.
Not to claim this drill is aimed at him. Oh, no - that would be misinformation, wouldn't it?
