The vast majority of these dead had no knowledge of or involvement in the "other" Holocaust, so why were they killed?
General Patton know what Eisenhower was doing, and he was the only top leader who tried to stop it. He also was the only top leader to die following the war, in circumstances suggestive of an assassination plot. Were the two connected? I think they were. Patton was murdered to shut him up.
You may believe Eisenhower was benign or even good. I harbor no such delusion. He was an evil man.
By the way, Bacque's book Other Losses is a fascinating read. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know what WWII really was about.
