Dutch students have developed a solar car that produces more energy than it consumes. The Stella Lux has a range of over 1,000 kilometers and can automatically send excess electricity back into the network. The developers are looking for via crowdfunding investors for their prototypes.

Is it just my imagination, or do great ideas like this one mainly come from OUTSIDE the US? We seem to have lost our edge as innovators.
By the way, the car does have a rather ungainly (even ugly) design, but that just might appeal to some.
