More than two years after the State Department claimed there were no emails responsive to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request about a close Hillary Clinton adviser’s contact with the media, the Department has informed a judge it has located 17,855 emails that appear to match the criteria.
The website Gawker filed a FOIA request in 2012 seeking any emails between Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Philippe Reines (a top Hillary Clinton adviser) and a list of 33 major media outlets. Interest in Reines’ correspondence with the media was prompted by an angry email exchange between Reines and journalist Michael Hastings. In the exchange, Reines lost his temper and told Hastings to “f-ck off.”
In July of 2013, the State Department responded to Gawker’s request with a letter which stated, “After a thorough search…no records responsive to your request were located.” Earlier this year Gawker filed a lawsuit asking a judge to force State to produce documents which were responsive to its initial FOIA request.
Finally, in a “court-ordered status report” the State Department has admitted to having located 81,159 emails belonging to Reines. Of those, State found 22 percent may be responsive to the FOIA request made back in 2012. “The Department believes that it will need to conduct a line-by-line review of an estimated 17,855 emails for applicable FOIA exemptions,” the status update reads.
The State Department now says it has so many documents that are responsive to the initial request that it will need to issue a group of them every 30 days until all 17,855 have been released. State adds that it is unable to even estimate how long the total production will take.
No explanation is offered in the status report for why the State Department initially claimed there were zero responsive records to the same request.

Hastings was killed in a suspicious car crash on June 18, 2013, after his car's controls apparently were hacked by persons unknown. The State Dept's FOIA response to Gawker was issued the following month.
What was Hastings working on at the time of his death? Here's one version:
The story that Hastings was working on at the time of his death centered around CIA Director John Brennan, the chief architect of President Obama’s foreign drone program. It related specifically to Brennan’s role as the administration’s point man tracking investigative journalists and their sources in Washington.
This email from Stratfor, a CIA-connected private security firm whose emails were hacked and released to the public by Wikileaks in February of last year, reveals that Brennan was indeed behind the “witch hunts of investigative journalists.”
The night of his death, Hastings had contacted Wikileaks attorney Jennifer Robinson and sent an email to his colleagues at the news site BuzzFeed, saying he was working on a big story and was “going off the rada[r],” citing fears over federal authorities interviewing his friends. Hastings blind-copied his friend, the Staff Sgt. Joe Biggs, whom Hastings had known from his time embedded in Afghanistan.
According to L.A. Weekly, just hours before the deadly crash Hastings had asked to borrow his neighbor's Volvo because he suspected his own car's computer system had been hacked.

What follows is a reasonable speculation:
- Brennan was tracking down leaks to the MSM;
- Someone in Hillary's camp was implicated in the leaks;
- Hastings found out what was going on; and
- Hastings was murdered to shut him up.
Who had the greater motive to kill him - Brennan or Hillary?
- Brennan was just doing his job, and he was protected by Obama ad-Dajjal, so really he had no motive to kill Hastings. Congress doesn't give a damn what Brennan is doing, and never has.
- Hillary, on the other hand, was doing a lot of stuff that State had no business doing, so she had a lot to hide (as suggested by her alleged destruction of thousands of emails). She appears to be the one with the most to hide, and possibly a motive to kill Hastings.
I suggest we add Michael Hastings to the Clinton body count, unless proven otherwise.
Clinton body count....we see you..Q is coming for you Killary.
