Here is a silly essay in The New York Times whining about the hardship imposed by quarantines:
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/25/nyregion/ebola-quarantines-seen-as-barrier-to-volunteers.html
If you're more committed to the people of Africa than to your neighbors back home, then when you volunteer don't come back.
Does it seem to you that in general Democrats are anti-travel ban and anti-quarantine while Republicans are pro-ban and pro-quarantine? Which group has their heads up their asses on this issue?
Update: Note well that the chief reasons being given for not quarantining health care workers entering the US from the Ebola epidemic zone is that it inconveniences them and discourages other volunteers from traveling to Africa:

You will not find among these seven reasons "it will not prevent the Ebola virus from entering the US".
Dear medical experts: With all due respect to your expertise, go to hell. We want a travel ban and a quarantine.
If you're so concerned about Africa, go there yourself. You and Samantha Power can share a quarantine tent for three weeks when you get back.
