Time and time again, the United States is on the wrong side of history:
You will never win a war that puts you on the wrong side of history. It’s not about military tactics. It’s about political strategy. Political truism: If you prop up thugs, the people will hate you. And now they do.
That’s what happens when the CIA helps orchestrate the 2009 Honduran coup, where democratically elected President Manuel Zelaya was ousted by billionaire United Fruit-affiliated right-wing despots. Wrong side of history.
It’s what happens when Obama rubs shoulders with a Colombian regime whose human rights record is among the worst on the planet, while treating neighboring like a Rockefeller oil colony. Wrong side of history.
In Africa, Obama has stood aside while allowing Chinese economic diplomacy to prevail. In SE Asia, Obama should have condemned the Thai governments’ two crackdowns on “Red Shirt” protesters, which resulted in over 100 deaths in Bangkok. Wrong side of history.
In South Asia, we promise more aid to Pakistan, despite its support of the Taliban and other anti-American crazies. In the Persian Gulf, we back GCC monarchs and Israeli butchers, while opposing popular movements like Hezbollah and Fatah. Wrong side of history.
We prop up fascists in Ukraine and blame Russia. Then there is ISIS – created by the CIA and now being bombed by the CIA. Wrong side of logic, reason, history and seemingly designed to destroy our country.

"Seemingly designed to destroy our country"?
We still haven't learned a damn thing, have we?
