The ISIS Uranium Threat In Perspective

It has been reported that ISIS seized 88 pounds of uranium compounds from a lab in Mosul:

88 POUNDS. WOW !!!

The Pentagon estimates that between 315 and 350 tons of depleted uranium weapons were fired during the 1991 Gulf War in Kuwait and Iraq:

That's 630,000 to 700,000 POUNDS of uranium compounds, boys and girls.

In addition, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) has estimated that 1,000 to 2,000 metric tons of depleted uranium was fired during the 2003 war in Iraq:

That's an additional 2.2 MILLION to 4.4 MILLION POUNDS of uranium compounds.

And somehow the US does not consider that to be a war crime or an environmental threat of any kind.

So ... why are we worried about 88 pounds of uranium compounds, when the US has dumped as much as 5 MILLION POUNDS of the stuff on a sovereign nation that's now supposed to be our friend?

Am I missing something here?
