I heard through the grapevine that the day George W. Bush became president, the DOE was directed to curtail unnecessary work (e.g., cleanup of the mess from the Cold War) and direct all available resources to new nuclear weapons development. And that was BEFORE 9/11 !!!
This new urgency for nuclear weapons started with and is being supercharged by the US. "Our" leaders are looking for a good excuse to use nukes, and sooner or later they will find one.
Pray hard, and do not take the mark.
