Why We Appear Destined To Lose

Here is why I don't think the US has even the slightest chance of winning Cold War 2.0:

Xi and Putin’s speeches were de facto complementary – emphasizing sustainable, win-win economic development for all actors, especially across the Global South, coupled with the necessity of a new socio-political contract in international relations.

This drive should be based on two pillars: sovereignty – that is, the good old Westphalian model (and not Great Reset, hyper-concentrated, one world “governance”) and sustainable development propelled by techno-scientific progress (and not techno-feudalism).

So what Putin-Xi proposed, in fact, was a concerted effort to expand the basic foundations of the Russia-China strategic partnership to the whole Global South: the crucial choice ahead is between win-win and the Exceptionalist zero-sum game.

Here is what the US offers the Global South - the Internet; sex, drugs, rock and roll; the theft of their resources for the benefit of the elite; and the ultimate destruction of their nations and heritage.

Here are two basic questions:

  • Who in their right mind would prefer the US plan over the China-Russia plan?
  • Why in hell are WE accepting it?

In case you're still a doubter, consider these facts:

Putin elegantly demonstrated the inevitability of its final disintegration with a few figures, which showed that while over the past 15-20 years the number of poor people (living on less than $5 a day) in the US has increased by 1.5-fold, in China the number of such people has decreased by 4-fold, and in Russia – 12-fold. At the same time, in Russia today the number of people living on less than $5 a day is already less than in the US.

Face it ... why would ANYONE want to be on our side?
